The Nitrex Inc. network of heat treating centers is currently composed of five facilities in the United States and additional centers in Canada, China, Mexico, and Italy. Our technologies and capabilities range from individual components of an almost microscopic size to 55,000-pound loads, from cryogenic treatment to high temperature vacuum, from simple annealing to plasma and Nitreg® potential-controlled nitriding, from forging blanks to complex aircraft components, from heat treating to manufacturing operations and engineering services.

Our primary area of expertise is in thermal, thermochemical or mechanical techniques of surface engineering and heat treating of metal components.
It is our desire to be a supplier of choice for our customers in the area of heat-treating and related manufacturing operations. Our unique combination of skills and experience, particularly in engineering of surface improvement of metal components, has put our team in a leadership position in North America, with significant contributions in other parts of the world as well.
Our team has published in industrial magazines for over 30 years. We have authored sections of handbooks (e.g., ASM Heat Treating Handbook, Vol. 4, Chapter “Gas Nitriding”), presented and won awards at seminars and conferences (e.g., Best Paper Award at the 12th International Conference on Surface Modification Technologies), and taught at SAE and other technical seminars.
