Mark Hemsath

Mark Hemsath joined Nitrex in 2021 in the Heat Treating Services division as the Vice President of Sales. He has held various positions with furnace companies and heat treaters, either as VP of Sales, VP/General Manager, and President.
Mark comes with 35+ years’ experience in furnaces and heat-treating with a solid technical and financial background, and an entrepreneurial mindset. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University.
Mark has been recognized as one of the “25 Most Influential People in the North American Heat Treating Industry” by The Monty. He also owned a furnace and alloy fabrication business for several years. Prior to that, he collaborated with his father, who brought the family from Germany to work in the industrial furnaces sector. In his early years, he helped the company obtain patents in ion nitriding, hydrogen retort annealing, and gas-fired vacuum furnaces for tempering and annealing. He has authored or co-authored various technical and business papers.
His extensive experience, both in the heat-treating industry and as an entrepreneur, underscores his capacity to lead and make a substantial impact on the NTS division’s success.
