The inauguration of the newest UNITED PROCESS CONTROLS (UPC) facility took place last April in Shanghai, China, and was officiated by Vice President, Mr. Paul Oleszkiewicz and Managing Director UPC China Operations, Mr. You Zhuo.

Employees, their families, customers, and the company’s Asian manufacturer representatives were in attendance to tour the new premises, which include Sales and Customer Support, Engineering, Projects Management, Production, and a ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified Calibration Laboratory. The laboratory provides calibration and support of the Waukee flow meters as well as the Process-Electronic and Marathon Monitors brands of sensors and analyzers.

While UPC has been present in China since 2005 through its affiliate member Marathon Monitors & Control Systems Corp., the new office was opened as part of the company’s development strategy to increase its manufacturing capacity and to further expand its presence in Asia. The new facility will regroup the company’s fabrication lines under one roof, which will enable UPC to strengthen its relationship with clients and partners. “Shanghai is the most developed and international city in China. With our new location in close proximity to customers, UPC Shanghai will become the hub of activity for our Asian operations.” said You Zhuo.
