Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, is a celebration of the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. And here at Nitrex, we are proud that our global team is comprised of a broad array of individuals representing different backgrounds, ethnicities, and ideologies. Our differences are often our greatest strengths, which is why we celebrate those differences and uplift the voices of our valued employees.

Today, Nitrex celebrates the heritage of its Hispanic employees. Within our company in the USA, 17% of our workforce is Hispanic, Latino or Latina and we would like to highlight two of them. Nitrex recognizes the positive impact Hispanic and Latino Americans have on society, all while commemorating the significance of diversity. Heritage months like this one remind us of our commitment to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we would like to celebrate two of our US financial leaders: Alexandra Ilardo and Claudia Lujano.

Alexandra Ilardo immigrated to the United States from Argentina to begin a new life, and her ambitious path led her to Nitrex 12 years ago. Alex now leads our US finance team, where she serves as controller for our heat treatment services division.

Claudia Lujano was born and raised in Mexico and as a young woman moved to Texas. Her drive and perseverance led her to become a valued controller for GM Enterprises, a Nitrex-affiliated company.

These women bring strong leadership to our organization and we are honored to be able to celebrate their culture, background, and excellent work ethic. We believe our success comes, in part, from our inclusivity. Together, let’s celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the dedicated work put forth by our team members.
