Exhaust gases emanating from any type and make of furnace that uses ammonia gas or other equipment with ammonia containing exhaust gas hold residual ammonia, nitrogen, hydrogen, and small amounts of water vapor. The outgoing gases are either directly vented to the atmosphere, or neutralized to decompose the residual ammonia, depending on your company’s requirements and/or local regulations. Without neutralization, effluent gases pollute the environment, with detrimental consequences to the ozone layer. Nitrex proposes one of two types of anti-pollution neutralizer for nitriding, nitrocarburizing and related heat treating processes, as well as other atmosphere polluting industries in order to meet your environmental targets. The “INS” series and the “IN” series of exhaust gas neutralizers are designed to eliminate the residual ammonia and other pollutant gases from process fumes released to the environment without generating excessive amounts of NOX.
“INS” SERIES EXHAUST GAS NEUTRALIZER
The pollution control equipment is comprised of a neutralization chamber, pilot burner, fuel gas train, and control system.
The control system is equipped with a flame monitoring device that automatically triggers an alarm signal whenever the flame is extinguished and relays it to the control system of the furnace.
INS series units can handle flows of up to 106 cfh (50 l/min)
“IN” SERIES HIGH EFFICIENCY EXHAUST GAS NEUTRALIZER
The “IN” neutralizer is a high efficiency unit, with internal liners aiding the dissociation of residual ammonia, and with electronic control integrated with the process control system. The pollution control equipment is comprised of a neutralization chamber, burner, fuel gas train, air blower, and adaptive control system.
IN series units can handle flows of up to 2120 cfh (1000 l/min)
