Mechanical Engineer (multiple openings)


 

Responsibilities

 

Design of improved methods of managing various technical and procedural aspects of heat treating operations; and analysis and engineering assessment of quality of services provided to customers and development of technical specifications.

 

Qualifications

 

Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or CAD/CAM or its foreign educational equivalent plus 6 months experience in the job offered or 6 months experience in an alternate occupation as a Mechanical Engineer or Research Assistant. Will accept any equally suitable combination of education, training and/or experience which would qualify an applicant to perform the duties of the job offered.

Sales Engineer


 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge of metal treating and manufacturing technologies, ability to make presentations and discuss specifications with customers, verbal and written communication skills, and good familiarity with using computers as a tool.

 

Responsibilities

 

A candidate for this position need not have extensive sales experience ?we are willing to train an enthusiastic candidate. The position will require extensive travel, generally but not necessarily within 300 miles from the plant. The most immediate needs will probably develop in Michigan and Indiana, with a less obvious requirement in California.

 

The candidate will be trained to make appointments, present our technologies, manage contacts, prepare quotes, record the appropriate information in a computerized database and in paper files, and coordinate the projects with our manufacturing and quality staff.

Manufacturing Operations Manager


 

Qualifications

Knowledge of metal treating and manufacturing technologies, as well as functioning of furnaces and auxiliary equipment. The candidate must be capable of discussing basic specifications, scheduling and documentation requiremnts with customers, have good verbal and written communication skills, and good familiarity with using a personal computer. Some supervisory experience is absolutely essential.

 

Responsibilities


The Mfg. Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of processing customers' parts in a given facility, from receiving through scheduling, preparation, functioning of the equipment, documentation, processing, all the way to packaging and shipping the product out to the customer.

There is no immediate need to fill this position at any of other plants. However, as our key people move from function to function, and as the business expands, we forecast that an opportunity of this nature may develop in the near future.

However, the most fundamental responsibility of the Laboratory Technician will be to prepare samples and mounts, perform basic evaluations, and record data.

Maintenance Technician


 

Qualifications

 

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, some plumbing skills, ability to follow maintenance schedules and discuss maintenance requirements with managers.

 

Responsibilities

 

Maintenance and repairs of heat treating furnaces and accessory equipment such as charge carts, water cooling systems, sand blasters, forklifts, etc. The candidate must be able to work in an environment of furnaces operating at high temperatures, sometimes with restricted access to the area of repair. This position may open at any of our locations.

Corporate Quality Assurance Manager


  

Responsibilities: The QA Manager would be responsible for implementation and maintenance of quality systems in accordance with ISO-9000, QS-9000, AS-9000, NADCAP and future extensions and variations thereof, at several locations in Canada and USA.

 

Qualifications and requirements: The candidate must posses the following minimum attributes: working knowledge of quality standards, ability to manage his/her own work objectives, verbal and written communication skills, some knowledge and experience with manufacturing methods and equipment. The candidate for this proposed senior position has to have the skills to integrate several independently developed and currently incompatible quality systems into a single, coherent system, and retrain the operators, without disrupting the demanding production schedules or undermining the existing certification status.
